SoundHound | All roles available in Santa Clara/San Francisco. Engineering roles only in Toronto. | ONSITE - link I'm an Engineering Manager at SoundHound. We've raised $75 Million from NVIDIA, Samsung, KP and others to take on Amazon and Google in AI with our "Collective AI" Houndify platform. Our open Houndify platform has the world’s fastest speech recognition and most sophisticated natural language understanding. We've had a lot of interest from partners and there are a LOT of really interesting projects being worked on requiring complex problem solvers who can work well independently. Things have come a long way since our leaked demo video took top spot on Reddit a while back: ▶ this video link link If you have any questions you'd like to ask an engineer here just email me: tilo at (company name) dot com. I respond to all emails but please, no recruiters! And we have hired from this thread in the past.

@xedarius2015 · in “DuckDuckGo grew more than 70% this year”

I love DDG but I think as the world turns away from document indexing and more toward intent based search, plus the ever increasing use of implicit data (gps location, speed of movement etc) - I can't see how DDG are going to grow. Ultimately search will end up with something a bit like Siri (but something that works). The hound demo (if real) is a very impressive glimpse of the future of search. For those who haven't seen it : ▶ this video

You're probably skeptical (as I was) but watch this video demo of the Hound app: ▶ this video That's insanely fast, compound natural language queries. I'm impressed.
