A short video built around an animation of the roughly 10,000 galaxies in the Hubble Ultra Deep Field, placed at their measured redshift distances. It gives a brief history of deep field images and ends with a 3D fly-through.
Recommended as a way to grasp the scale of the universe and what the Hubble deep field image means.

You're taking all the context out of the two pictures. These pictures are not viewed in isolation. This post is full of comments of people asking questions about things like the gravitational lensing. And the picture will then end up in videos like these ▶ this video which gather millions of views and which help educate people on what the picture means and why it's significant.
Maybe not one, but 3 books: Into the Wild (book and movie): link When I was in high school I was considering the same path as Christopher took, but then I heard about him and I learned from his story. "Happiness only real when shared" Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Superathletes, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen link This is how I got really hooked up to triathlon and ultramarathons. Great book, I lent it to many people and changed some of their lives too. Learning PHP and MySQL: link The book is ok, not great, but it changed my life. This is how I learned to program. But I would say that other media also had an impact. Like poems: "If—" by Rudyard Kipling: link Then there are some short videos: The Race: link Godspeed: link "The Hubble Ultra Deep Field" by Deep Astronomy: ▶ this video
This [0] IMHO gives more perspective (don't be taken aback by the flashy images, the good stuff comes after, ~2:50 mark) When watching, remember this is when looking at the absolute darkest spot of our sky. [0] Hubble Ultra Deep Field in 3D ▶ this video PS: Inevitably, the title reminded me of this: Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space. -- Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
