Area 5150 is a demoscene production for the original 4.77MHz IBM PC with CGA graphics and PC speaker. This is the Evoke 2022 party version, captured from real hardware, and it won the Alternative Demo compo.
HN treats it as a showcase of what clever tricks can squeeze out of 1981 hardware, and the sequel to 8088 MPH.

Makes me think about the area 5150 demo ▶ this video edit: This comment really summarizes just how impressive the demo is link
Love how people are still pushing old hardware. These are also two excellent demo's on the XT: Area 5150 ▶ this video 8088 MPH link
It's about an emulator being able to run the very impressive 8088MPH "demo", which uses a bunch of hardware tricks to pull off stuff you wouldn't expect a 4.77mhz/640kb RAM/4 colour/PC speaker could do. link the sequel is Area 5150 ▶ this video
